KIU SWAHILI FOR INTERMEDIATES TWO WEEKS

Our Swahili Intermediate Course is designed to help students achieve a higher level of proficiency in reading, listening, speaking, and writing Swahili. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently comprehend written and spoken Swahili, read and discuss articles from newspapers and books, and use a functional vocabulary in various settings such as work, business, and travel.

In this course, students will also acquire idiomatic expressions that will enhance their conversational skills and help them better connect with native Swahili speakers. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded approach to language learning, using a variety of teaching aids and techniques including stories, questions and answers, pictures, puzzles, and tapes to create an engaging and dynamic learning experience. For example, you may practice reading and discussing a news article about current events in East Africa, or listen to a Swahili radio program to improve your listening skills. You could also work on business-related vocabulary and scenarios to prepare you for professional interactions in Swahili speaking environments.

Before enrolling in the course, all students are required to undergo an interview to ensure that they meet the qualifications and prerequisites for the Intermediate level. This includes having a basic understanding of Swahili grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
